AlphaSector Indexes are non-investable indexes designed with the intent of consistently outperforming the S&P 500 with materially reduced risk. The AlphaSector Rotation Index uses disciplined buy and sell signals to rotate among the major sectors the S&P 500 utilizing nine Select Sector SPDR ETFs representing the primary sectors of the S&P, and an ETF representing cash.
The AlphaSector Rotation Index was launched October 13, 2008, and the values of the index are published daily by NASDAQ OMX.
The AlphaSector Rotation Index construction methodology is monitored and approved by the Index Committee.
